How to change your television’s audio settings to PCM.
If your headphones are connected to your television by Bluetooth directly or using your BT01 transceiver and you are unable to hear any sound, you may need to adjust the sound settings on your television.
Modern televisions offer the option for various digital channels and specialty formats, like Dolby, based on who manufactures it. This can mean that your television is sending sound in a way that isn't recognised by your headphones.
To fix this you will need to change your audio settings to PCM (Pulse Code Modulation). Every television is different, however, general instructions on how to change the audio may be quite similar.
To change the audio:
- Open the Menu.
- Select the Sound tab
- Select either Additional Settings/Advanced Settings/Expert Settings. Depending on what it is called on your own television. Please note this may be different on your television. Different models have different systems and names.
- Audio Format
- Change it to PCM
- Once the setting has been changed to PCM sound will start playing.
Be sure to also check that the switch on the front of your transceiver corresponds with the cable that you have used to connect the BT01 to your television. If you are using the optical cable, the switch should be in OPT, with the LED light blinking blue. If you are using the headphone cable, the switch should be in AUX and the LED will be green.
