How to connect to an Auracast broadcast with the Audeara Link app

The Audeara Link app let's you connect, select, and manage the Auracast connections you are paired to. Watch the video below to learn how to connect to a Broadcast using the Audeara Link app.

Step 1: Pair the Audio Transceiver & Lapel Microphone (BT-LE) with your smartphone
  • Slide the switch on the side of the BT-LE to RX (Receive).

  • Power on the BT-LE by holding the button for 3 seconds (until the light turns on).

    • If the device is already in Classic Bluetooth mode, the light may automatically start flashing Blue and Red – this means it’s in Pairing Mode searching for a device to pair with.
    • If it’s not already flashing Blue and Red, double click the button to put it into Pairing Mode.
  • Open the Bluetooth menu on the Smartphone and select ‘BT-LE’ from the available devices list.

    • The light will turn to a solid Blue when it has successfully paired with the smartphone.

Step 2: Connect to an Auracast broadcast using the Audeara Link app
  • Open the Audeara Link app on your Smartphone.

  • Select “Bluetooth Mode”
    • “Classic” Bluetooth Mode is the default, then select “Broadcast”.
    • The app should automatically scan for nearby Auracast broadcasts, however you can select the “Search” button to scan again. 
  • The names of the available broadcasts will appear in a list below “Available Broadcast Source”. Select one of these to connect to the broadcast.

    • Your BT-LE will automatically connect.
    • The light on the BT-LE will be purple and pulse slowly when connected to a broadcast.
Step 3: Connect the BT-LE to a receiving device to listen
  • Using either the provided 3.5mm Audio Cable or USB-C Audio Cable, connect the BT-LE to a receiving device (e.g. headphones or speaker).


Important Notes
  • Broadcast mode must be enabled to display Auracast signals.

  • Multiple signals may appear – select the broadcast to connect to.
