Set up Auracast for learning environments with Audeara's Audio Transceiver & Lapel Microphone

In a learning environment you will need at least two devices:
- One Audio Transceiver & Lapel Microphone will be used to broadcast audio.
- Other Audio Transceivers and/or Auracast enabled headphones will receive the audio.
Part 1 – Set up the first Audio Transceiver & Lapel Microphone to Transmit Auracast audio
- Power on the device by holding the button for 3 seconds (until the light turns on).

Slide the switch on the side of the device to TX (Transmit).

Triple click the button to enter Auracast Mode.

The light will turn a slow pulsing Purple to indicate the device is broadcasting.

The device will automatically broadcast nearby sound via Auracast, however for the best audio experience, insert the provided Microphone Accessory into the 3.5mm port on the top of the device.

You can use the clip on the back of the device to attach it to your clothes.

You can mute / unmute the device by single clicking the button:

When the device is muted, the light will turn Red.

When the device is broadcasting, the light will turn a slow pulsing Purple.

The Lapel Microphone can broadcast to an area of approximately 30 metres - suitable for classrooms and auditoriums.
Part 2 – Set up the second Audio Transceiver & Lapel Microphone to Receive Auracast audio
- Power on the device by holding the button for 3 seconds (until the light turns on).

Slide the switch on the side of the device to RX (Receive).

Connect your device to your headphones using either the provided 3.5mm Audio Cable or USB-C Audio Cable.

Triple click the button to enter Auracast Mode. LED behaviour:

When the device is searching for a broadcast, the light will be a fast flashing Purple.

When the device is connected to a broadcast, the light will turn a slow pulsing Purple.

Confirm audio is coming through

Speak into the first Lapel Microphone and check that audio is received.

Switching between multiple Auracast broadcasts

If there is only one Auracast transmitter in range, the receiver will automatically connect to it.

If there are multiple Auracast transmitters, you can:

Triple tap the centre button on the receiver

The device will scan to the next available Auracast stream

Repeat until you find the correct broadcast
